January
2006, Zagreb, Croatia: Sub-regional Meeting
On January 2006 1st meeting of the sub-regional
women's Network was held in Zagreb and brought
together representatives from the following
sub-regional centres: Anima ŽINEC - Kotor,
INDOC Centar - Beograd, Infocentar - Skopje,
Ženska infoteka - Zagreb, Ženske studije
i istraživanja - Novi Sad.
Many suggestions for the future and ideas
for the improvement of our activities came
up, as well as a fruitful discussion on
the strategies for their implementation.
First of all, the coordinators of national
centres reported on the situation and development
of their centres and how they participated
in sub-regional project (Women's Info -
Documentation Centres Network).
Ženska infoteka reported on overall activities
of the Network.
The starting point in discussion further
on was the need for more efficiant organization
of the Network in the future. We all agreed
that therefore, Network needs decentralisation
of work. We have already learned a lot and
opposite to the situation in the beginning
of the REWiND NET, both the material resources
and the know-how are now more or less equivalently
distributed throughout the sub-region. Therefore
we can all gain and produce more in the
overall cooperation and equal participation
than in the situation of having a tutor
centre. Report... |
